Introduction to Sport Photography
DATE: Saturday, July 29th, 2006 from 7:00pm - 10:00pm
LOCATION: Midway Stadium in St. Paul, Minnesota
FEE: $45 / person
During the workshop we will do hands on shooting and discussion of the following topics:
- decision making
- on-the-fly light adjustments
- professionalism
- copyright/commercial photography concerns
- contracts and reproduction permission
- anticipating the shot
- much more...
Due to the nature of the evening / low-light shooting, it is recommended that you bring a tripod/monopod with you.
We will be moving around LOTS of people and in tight quarters, so please be prepared to test your dexterity and knowledge of the positioning/location of your equipment (so people don't damage it.)
This class is limited to THREE students due to space restrictions in certain locations.

Introduction to Composition
DATE: Tuesday, June 20th, 2006 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm
LOCATION: Rice Park in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota
FEE: $45 / person
During the workshop we will do hands on shooting and discussion of composition in nature and in urban / man-made settings.
We will also cover the basics of working with natural light and shadows. Due to the time of this class we should also have the opportunity for some low-light and sunset photography at the end.
